How to Connect Plivo

You can connect Plivo to WordPress by adding your Plivo Auth ID, Auth Token, and SMS-enabled number to Texty. Connect and activate the gateway, then send a test SMS before you turn on store alerts.

You will need:

  • Texty installed and active.
  • An account with access to the Plivo Console.
  • Your Plivo Auth ID and Auth Token.
  • An SMS-enabled Plivo number.
  • A phone that can receive your test message.

If you have not chosen a provider, read how to connect your first SMS gateway.

Keep your Auth Token private: Do not show it in screenshots or send it in a support request.

Your Auth ID and Auth Token appear on the overview page in the Plivo Console.

Sign in to the Plivo Console. Open the account overview.

Copy your Auth ID. Reveal your Auth Token, then copy it. Find the Plivo number you plan to use for SMS.

Enter your number or approved name in From Number. Click Connect. When the connection succeeds, click Activate.

Expected result: Plivo now shows as active. Texty will use it for each new SMS.

To test if the Plivo is proper connected, you need to open the Dashboard tab in Texty and find the Quick Send SMS feature. Enter a phone number with its country code.

Next, click Send Test. Check the phone for the test message. Open Texty > SMS Logs and review the new record.

A good send means Plivo took the message. It does not prove that the phone got it. If no SMS arrives, check the Texty log and your Plivo message log.
