Which SMS Automation Triggers Are Available
Texty Pro has 12 SMS triggers. They cover missed payments, stock changes, sales follow-up, repeat sales, account safety, and store alerts. Each trigger has its own default text and tags. Open Texty > Notifications > Automations to find them.
How should you use this guide?
Section titled “How should you use this guide?”First, choose a trigger that matches your goal. Then review its default text, send rule, and tags below.
Variable tags are tied to their trigger. If you use a tag in the wrong message, it may appear as raw text. The global \{site_name} and \{site_url} tags work in all built-in triggers.

What are the automation triggers?

Which order recovery triggers are available?
Section titled “Which order recovery triggers are available?”Failed or pending payment recovery
Section titled “Failed or pending payment recovery”This trigger follows up when a payment fails or stays pending. By default, it waits 10 minutes and sends no more than once for that order.

On-hold payment reminder
Section titled “On-hold payment reminder”This trigger reminds a buyer about an order on hold. It waits 24 hours by default and sends no more than once for that order.

Which stock and price triggers are available?
Section titled “Which stock and price triggers are available?”Back in stock
Section titled “Back in stock”This trigger sends when a product returns to stock. It has no delay field.
Default message:

Price drop
Section titled “Price drop”This trigger sends when a price falls by the set amount. The default drop is 1 percent. This keeps small price shifts from sending a text.

Which post-purchase triggers are available?
Section titled “Which post-purchase triggers are available?”Review request
Section titled “Review request”This trigger asks for a product review. By default, it waits five days after the order is complete. It then names the highest-value item.
Default message:

Customer note added
Section titled “Customer note added”This trigger sends a customer note from an order. Texty cuts the note at 280 characters by default.

License or download expiry
Section titled “License or download expiry”This trigger warns a buyer before a file or license ends. By default, it sends seven days before the end date. You can also send a second alert on that date.

Which customer lifecycle triggers are available?
Section titled “Which customer lifecycle triggers are available?”First-order welcome
Section titled “First-order welcome”This trigger welcomes a customer after their first completed order. It has no delay field.
Default message:
Welcome to {site_name}, {first_name}. Thanks for your first order.Available tags: \{first_name}, \{site_name}, \{site_url}
Win-back or lapsed customer
Section titled “Win-back or lapsed customer”This trigger can bring back a buyer who has not placed an order. The default wait is 90 days. After it sends, Texty waits 180 days before it can text that person again.

Replenishment or reorder
Section titled “Replenishment or reorder”This trigger helps a customer buy a product again. Texty waits at least 30 days before it can send another nudge for the same person and product.

Which account and security trigger is available?

Section titled “Security alert”This trigger sends after a password change. It has no wait. This helps the user act fast if the change was not theirs.

Which store alert trigger is available?
Section titled “Which store alert trigger is available?”Low or out-of-stock alert
Section titled “Low or out-of-stock alert”This trigger sends stock alerts to your store phone numbers, not buyers. Add one phone number per line. A second alert when stock hits zero is off by default.
Default low-stock message:

How many SMS automations does Texty Pro include?
Section titled “How many SMS automations does Texty Pro include?”Texty Pro includes 12 triggers in six groups. Each trigger has its own toggle and settings.
Do all triggers send to customers?
Section titled “Do all triggers send to customers?”No. The low or out-of-stock trigger sends to store phone numbers. Other triggers use the person tied to their event.
Can you change the default automation messages?
Section titled “Can you change the default automation messages?”Yes. Open the trigger, edit its message, use supported tags, and save your changes.
Why does a variable tag appear as plain text?
Section titled “Why does a variable tag appear as plain text?”The tag may not belong to that trigger, or it may have been typed incorrectly. Copy it from the current trigger’s tag list.
